Bad weather arrangements:

In most cases with light rain / showers we can still go ahead with the event as planned. We do have some simple concessions for comfort such as moving slightly to undercover checkpoints for the Amazing Race or short cuts for anyone feeling unwell or uncomfortable. We routinely do weather checks prior to the event and if the forecast is unfavourable we will consult you and you can decide if you would prefer to postpone your event to an alternative date without penalty. Alternatively, with 24 hours notice we can change your outdoor event to our popular indoor event “Game Show” or “Brick Masters”, provided we can source a suitable venue (please note there may be additional charges for venue/room hire which will be discussed with you prior to making any booking).

Cancellation policy:

The 20% deposit is non-refundable. However, we are happy to use this deposit as a credit towards a future Tailored Team Building event. Bookings that are cancelled within 48 hours of your event, we withhold the right to invoice you for any staff costs. Bookings that are postponed due to unforeseen circumstances (including COVID-19 restrictions / lockdowns), your event can be changed to an alternative date without penalty.

If the deposit has not been paid prior to the event, Tailored Team Building reserves the right not to run the event.

In the event where our hosts have had to travel, any travel expenses (including flights, car hire etc) will be passed on to the client if you cancel within 24 hours of your event.

Late cancellation:

If you are wishing to postpone / cancel your event without 24 hours of the event then we will need to charge the staffing costs as our staff will not be able to get other work with short notice. The cost for this is $150 per staff member (minimum of 2 per event).

Late arrival:

If your group is more than 30 minutes late to the starting location you may be issued with a $100 late fee. This may also impact the timeline of your event & your race may be shortened accordingly.

Booking terms:

You can book your event in via email or phone, once you have decided to proceed with your event we will invoice you the non-refundable 20% deposit. Approximately 7-10 days prior to your event we will email you with all the details required for your event, including meeting spot, balance invoice & what to bring.

If an invoice remains unpaid for 21 days following the event, Tailored Team Building reserves the right to add 10% to your balance invoice. We also reserve the right to engage a debt collection agency & pass any fees incurred onto the client.


We are more than happy to help secure a venue to finish your Amazing Race or host your Tailored Team Building event, however Tailored Team Building is not liable if the venue double books or cancels the booking. All charges, including booking fees will be passed on to the client & will not be the responsibility of Tailored Team Building.

Photography, Videos & Marketing:

Any photos or videos taken during your event remain the property of Tailored Team Building & we retain the right to use these on our own website and social media (Facebook, Instagram & YouTube). Unless we receive an objection we will assume that permission has been granted.

First Aid:

Our staff carry basic compact first aid kits, and hand sanitisers. All our staff have mobile phones & all our courses are accessible by emergency services if required. Also, for your peace of mind, all of our event facilitators are double vaccinated against COVID-19.
